Stara Zagora, Bulgaria

Under the framework of the EUIPO’s European Cooperation Projects, a memorandum of understanding was signed on 05 June 2024 between the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria (BPO) and the Municipality of Stara Zagora. Through this memorandum, the city of Stara Zagora, will be certified as an official ‘Authenticity’.

Stara Zagora, one of the most ancient cities in Europe, has a rich history dating back 8,000 years.

As part of the initiative, a series of IP-related awareness-raising activities are planned to take place locally over the next two years in Stara Zagora.
