On Tuesday, 12 March 2024, under the framework of the European Cooperation Project (ECP8) “European Network of Authenticities”, the municipality of Bardejov became the second certified Slovakian “Authenticity” of the network. Following a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic, the Municipality of Bardejov and the Financial Administration of the Slovak Republic, a series of IP-related awareness-raising activities will take place locally over the next year in the newly certified Authenticity.
The city of Bardejov is a historically and culturally rich city, considered one of the most beautiful Slovak cities. The historical center of Bardejov, together with the complex of buildings forming the Jewish suburbium from the beginning of the 18th century, was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000.
Bardejov honey deserves special attention as a protected designation of origin product, which is currently the best honey in the world and reaps success in every international competition.
